If I could ❤

My late dad, Ret. Rev Vavia Kara, in his hey days, rocking the fro 🙂 🥰

As another anniversary of my dad’s passing approaches (05th March, 14 years this year), I can’t help but feel sad and nostalgic.

One simply does not stop grieving over loved ones who have passed on. You just learn to cope and I have found that in words. This one titled “If I could” is for my dad, whom my family and I love and miss so dearly ❤

If I could

I would bring you back to life

Just for one more chance

To tell you I love you

If I could

I would turn back time

To the time I was little

And you were my hero, my everything

If I could

I would hold the son and moon still

Suspend time at those moments

Precious moments with you

If I could

I would call heaven

Ask God to speak to you

Just to hear your voice one more time

If only I could, tamagu lalokauna

Idau Rawali, March 2021

Gone but never forgotten, may your beautiful soul rest in God’s eternal peace always 🙏

1 Timothy 4: 7 (NKJV) I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
