Wk29-23: God’s peace

How does one attain that peace, in a world full of darkness, misery, trials and tribulations? Sickness, death, wars, crimes? And many more!!

From the rising of the sun to its going down The Lord’s name is to be praised.
Psalms 113:3 NKJV

And therein lies the problem – when we focus on the bad and negative things around us, we are letting the enemy of truth, Satan, control us. We must train our minds to stay positive and be assured in God’s word: the Bible. It reminds us in Paul’s letter to the Philippians:

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV

When we put our trust in God and humbly bow before Him with thankful hearts to present our prayers – no matter the circumstances, this bible verse tells us that God’s peace that surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts & minds through Christ Jesus, Amen 🙏 ❤️

“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;

Never let the future disturb you. You will meet it, if you have to, with the same weapons of reason which today arm you against the present.

Marcus Aurelius

A former Roman emperor, known to be one of the good ones, also a philosopher, advises in this quote – not to worry about the future. Although I agree, somewhat with his quote, I can tell you for sure that those weapons of reason can be found in God’s word ALONE, and nothing esle. Accompanied by a thankful and prayerful heart, AMEN 🙏!

The peace of God that surpasses all understanding is a great weapon of reason ❤️ Imagine how this world would be if we all had and know that peace 😌 what a wonderful world it would be, right?!

O Lord, there is none like You, nor is there any God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
I Chronicles 17:20 NKJV

Yes, my friends. Seek God’s peace at all times 🙏 and not the temporal gains of this secular world. 

Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face evermore! Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth,

I Chronicles 16:11‭-‬12 NKJV
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand .
Isaiah 41:10 NIV

If ever there was any time, I believe the world needs God peace now. We need Jesus Christ now more than ever. Praying for peace may not bring immediate comfort to those who are dealing with difficult situations or have lost loved ones in acts of atrocities – however it should not stop those of us who are able to do so from praying. Million more prayers for peace are better than nothing. Keep the faith! ❤️
