Easter program for NewLife Anglican, Oran Park – here is the address 47A Central Ave, Oran Park NSW 2570, Australia
Can you believe how fast this year is going? One minute, we’re celebrating and welcoming the new year. Next, it’s week 11, and another long weekend is just around the corner. Are you looking forward to that break, in two weeks’ time? I am 😊 even though every day is a break for me these days 😅

Do you know the Easter story?
If you do, God bless you, and may your Easter break be full of love and worship as you remember the death and resurrection of our saviour, Jesus Christ ❤️
If you don’t, God bless you too! And I pray you will find time during the Easter long weekend to seek out and learn about the Easter story! It is more than easter bunnies and chocolates eggs, hot cross buns, etc. Rather, it is a story of salvation and redemption through Jesus Christ 🙏
John 11:25 NKJV
[25] Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.
I want to share the writings of a woman of faith, Kimberley Dawn, that I came across many years ago. It is titled “The Door to Life.”
I hope it blesses you as it did for me when I read it the first time.
A Man once walked upon sands of time
His soul was filled with His Father’s Light
Love pure, like Adam’s first breathBorn of innocence
He set out on a journey to help save the lost
With an open heart
And open arms
He shared His Father’s truthHe showed them His Father’s Love
He healed the sick
Helped the poor
Fed the hungryAnd He didn’t even have a place of His own
He was the door to life, but many refused to take the key
Instead, they said, “crucify Him”
They drove nails through His fleshAnd He beheld the burden of the world’s sin
Yet, in His final moments
He asked the Father to forgive them.If you were to go to His tomb you wouldn’t find Him there
For death couldn’t hold Him
He is risenHis name is Yeshua, also known as Jesus The Messiah and Intercessor the Prophets once spoke of and He is the door to life.
Do you know Him?
Kimberly Dawn
Yes, do we know Jesus? Do we know the Messiah? Or are we just interested in the chocolate eggs, bunnies, hot cross buns, and so on???
Matthew 27:50-54 NKJV
[50] And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit. [51] Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, [52] and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; [53] and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many. [54] So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!"
The Easter story is in the Bible and can be found in the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. We must take time to read it and meditate upon it. And ask God to help us know and love Jesus more because He carried the burden of our sins on the cross. Jesus bridged the gap, caused by sin, between us and God. The prophets in the Old Testament spoke about Him, too.
Isaiah 53:5 NKJV
[5] But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
That my friends is the Easter story – Jesus, the Messiah, the Son of God, laying down His life to set us free from the bondage of sin. The story of salvation and redemption, #WhereDefeatmeetsTriumph!!
To God be the glory always 🙏
