Fix your eyes on Jesus ❤️ 2024 – Week 22

Like the sun is to the sunflower 🌻so is Jesus for all mankind’s salvation and redemption.

I don’t think there’s anything on this planet that more trumpets life than the sunflower. For me, that’s because of the reason behind its name. Not because it looks like the sun but because it follows the sun. During the course of the day, the head tracks the journey of the sun across the sky. A satellite dish for sunshine. Wherever light is, no matter how weak, these flowers will find it. And that’s such an admirable thing. And such a lesson in life.

Even when all around us seems hopeless 😔, we’re overwhelmed by the problems and darkness of this world, and it’s so easy to forget about God, seek the Son of God. Let us find Jesus in all that we set out to do. Rather than losing hope, let us fix our eyes on Jesus.

Hebrews 12:2-3 NIV‬

[2] fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. [3] Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Seek His love and grace, continue to pray and worship God faithfully. Ask for the promised Helper – the Holy Spirit – to guide and lead us through it all.

John 16:7-11 NIV‬

[7] But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. [8] When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: [9] about sin, because people do not believe in me; [10] about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; [11] and about judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.
Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadows. It’s what the sunflowers do.
~ Hellen Keller ~
Hebrews 13:5-6 NIV‬

[5] Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” [6] So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

Amen! What can mere mortals do to me?

To God be the glory always 🙏❤️
