Love unmeasuredly ❤️ 2024 – Week 35

Love has no measure
Spoil the ones you love

Fill their lives
With love to the brim

That when pressed
From all sides

Love overflows
To heal themselves & others

Spoil them rotten
Love them beyond measure

If being utterly indulged means being spoiled to the core and loved beyond measure, that was my dad’s love for me. Gone but never forgotten, tamagu lalokau 💔🕊 May your soul RIP.

Ultimately, this brings me to the greatest Father of all – our heavenly Father, the Creator. His love for us is immeasurable, surpassing human understanding. In comparison, our earthly fathers, though well-intentioned, may be imperfect and still have a lot to learn, limited by their mortality.

God’s fatherly love, on the other hand, is flawless, unwavering, and boundless, setting the perfect example of what it means to love unconditionally.

1 John 4:19 NIV

[19] We love because he first loved us.

Jesus Christ embodies God’s love for humanity, making it real and relatable. God’s love is inclusive and unconditional, extending to all people, regardless of their faith or beliefs. His love is the basis upon which we must set our own capacity to love as expressed in the truth that ‘we love because He first loved us’.

1 Corinthians chapter 13  speaks about this unconditional love.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NIV

[4] Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. [5] It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. [6] Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. [7] It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. [8] Love never fails...

We won’t always get it right, being mere mortals, but we must do our best. In the end, God will be our judge. My prayer is that we all learn and live to love unmeasuredly, just as our Father in heaven does for us ❤️

To God be the glory always 🙏
