Unlike the old cassette players, life doesn’t have a stop, rewind, or pause button. Before we know it, 2025 will arrive (only 8 weeks to go!). And Christmas? It’s just a stone’s throw away. Who’s ready for the rush of the silly season? Honestly, I’m not.
With the holiday season fast approaching, let’s focus on the fruit of the Spirit that embodies this time of year: Goodness. During our family’s October Zoom devotion, we explored this topic, and my younger brother, Mea, shared some valuable insights. Here’s a glimpse of his sharing:
Bible reading, Galatians 5:22
Spirit of Goodness
1. The word ‘good‘ as we all know, we use often – good morning, good day, good boy and so on.
2. Goodness is full of virtue and excellence, kindness, helpfulness, peace, and consideration. It means that a person is full of all things good and does good. (Ephesians 5:9)
3. It means this person has a good heart.
GOD’S GOODNESS
The Bible tells us that the word “good” means “holy, pure, and righteous.” Literally meaning Goodness is GODLINESS.
Psalms:26:6-
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
God calls us to be filled with His goodness from inside out, being holy in what we do and say. As Christians, we should have a heart that seeks goodness. We are not to do good work only. Doing good works without a good heart is empty. To conclude, is this spirit of goodness evident in my or your life?
Thank you, Kara namo ikarana basi tahesiku bona mai kudoda ibounai bai takara. (Quoting in motu, from Galatians 6:9).

Galatians 6:9 NIV
[9] Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

[8] For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light [9] (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) [10] and find out what pleases the Lord.
This festive season, may God’s goodness and mercy reign supreme in our hearts, minds, and entire being, guiding us always as the Psalmist prayed “all the days of our lives” (Psalms 26: 6) .
To God be the glory always to ❤️🙏
