Something I heard recently has been weighing on my mind, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts. My intention isn’t to criticize or offend but rather to offer my perspective before it loses relevance and to start meaningful conversations.
That is the idea that being a housewife is less important than being a public figure. I believe this is outdated, stereotypical, and obstructs progress towards gender equality. It’s time to challenge these types of narratives and break down the stereotypes.
Being a housewife, caregiver, mother, and homemaker is a challenging yet rewarding role that deserves respect and recognition. And as we push for gender equality, let’s acknowledge the significance of these roles and celebrate the women who fulfil them with dedication and love.
I hope and pray that we’re raising generations and cultivating a culture where housewives are respected and celebrated with the same enthusiasm and gratitude as public figures. And recognizing the immense value they bring to families and society.
