Authenticity in Faith ❤️ Week 33/ 34 – 2025!

18 weeks to go in 2025: Are you ready for 2026? Time is a thief my friends and before you know it, it’ll be 2032 😅 anywayyyy…back to 2025!! Hope your August is ‘augusting’ along well.

Anyway, I came across this bible reading during the week and it had me thinking about being authentic in our faith walk.

Galatians 5:25-26 NIV

[25] Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. [26] Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
Galatia 5.25-26 (Motu)

Lauma dainai ta maurimu; taunabunai, Lauma dainai baita raka.  Basita hekokoroku; basita heai heheni; basita heḡahusi heheni.

Amen 🙏❤️

When re-reading these two verses, the word authentic comes to mind, and it is not about being perfect or superior. Rather, it’s about walking in step with the Spirit, imperfections and all.

Satan uses every trick in his book to exploit our weaknesses & imperfections to lead us astray to the point where we can become conceited and divisive. But we’re reminded that Jesus has already triumphed over him. And Jesus promised us a Helper, the Spirit.

Without the Spirit’s guidance, we’re lost. Therefore, let’s align our lives with the Spirit’s steps, as Galatians 5:25-26 reminds us.
When we’re in sync with Him, we’ll avoid conceit, provocation, and envy, and instead live out our faith with the fruits of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

“So often we are inconsistent with our goals because we have an “all-or-nothing” mindset. If we fall short of our goal even just one time, we feel like we’ve failed. Try to remember, being consistent isn’t the same as being perfect. Give yourself permission to fail. The goal is not perfection, the goal is consistency.”
~ Craig Groeschel ~

We’re not perfect, and that’s okay. As mere mortals, we stumble and make mistakes. But we have the assurance that we’re saved by grace, thanks to Jesus Christ, the one perfect being who stands above our imperfections.

This is a timely reminder to take stock of our lives, prioritise Bible reading, intentional prayer, and serving others with love. And to walk in step with the Spirit and live out our faith with authenticity and purpose.

To God be the glory always 🙏❤️
