III John 1:11 NKJV
[11] Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.
⚠️ A timely reminder!
In today’s world of influencers, cancel culture, and constant pressure to fit in, it’s not always easy to discern what’s truly good. Sometimes choosing between good and evil—naughty and nice—isn’t as simple as it sounds.
The truth is, it was never meant to be easy. God gave us brains and the ability to think—something unique compared to the rest of His creation—and, most importantly, He gave us the Helper, the Holy Spirit, just as Jesus promised His disciples then and us today. We cannot stand against the spiritual forces of this world on our own.
We need the Holy Spirit to guide, to convict, and to lead us into truth.
We need the Word of God planted deeply in our hearts, minds, and whole being.
And we rest in the precious blood of Jesus, which covers us so that sin and death pass over us. Because we are saved, we should live like people who have been redeemed. ✝️
When we take our eyes off Jesus—when we neglect the Word and forget to pray—we make room for darkness to influence us. That’s when it becomes easier to imitate what is evil instead of what is good.
May we stay close to Jesus, sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and anchored in God’s Word, so that our lives consistently reflect the goodness of God. 🙏❤️
To God be the glory always 🙏❤️
