About

Hi folks, my name is Idau – wife, mother & grandmother to a growing family. Most importantly I’m a daughter of the most high – fearfully & wonderfully made in His image, just like you all ๐Ÿ™

Psalms 139: 14
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.

By birth I’m from a beautiful island in the South Pacific called Papua New Guinea. However, since 2011 when my family & I migrated, we have been calling this great land down under – Australia – home.

I’m a Christian, so you will note a lot of the writing is based on my Christian faith. Having said that, I’m also a dreamer; I look at things, places, people etc and all these words start playing around in my head. So in a way, I’m using this platform to capture the stories, poems, ramblings and so forth, that pop up in my head – hence the tag line, wonderings and ponderings of a different woman.

Why different woman?? Nothing eccentric except the fact it is a literal translation of my name, Idauhahine – which is in my mother tongue, Motu – into English. Idau = different; hahine = woman.

My ultimate dream is to write a book one day – I’m still not sure about what and when that will be, but I hope it will be soon.

Otherwise thank you for dropping in – hope you like my wonderings and ponderings ๐Ÿ™‚ Please feel free to provide feedback or just leave a general comment anytime.
