What does it mean to live a life well? Why do we acknowledge a life lived well only at funerals? Where should we go to live a life well? How does one know they are living their life well?
These are rhetoric and there can’t ever be right or wrong answers. We can only pray and hope to be living our lives well. So here’s my prayer:
Teach me Lord
That my days are numbered
Teach me Lord
That tomorrow is never guaranteed
Teach me Lord
That I may be more like you
Teach me Lord
That I live for others
Teach me Lord
That I may forgive easily
Teach me Lord
That I may love whole heartedly
Teach me Lord
The power of humility
Teach me Lord
The blessing of giving freely
Most importantly,
Teach me Lord
That I may have the courage & strength
To accept
To let go
To move on
When it’s time to do so
Amen
