2026, Week 31: Unchanging God 🙏

When life is uncertain, take comfort in the certainty of God. He never changes – He is the same yesterday, today and forever!

Three years ago today (01.08.2026), on 1 August 2023, I wrote the reflection below during a season of uncertainty, questions, and quiet wrestling with God.

Reading it again today (01.08.2026), , I’m reminded that while my circumstances have changed, God’s character has not. He is still faithful. He is still present. He is still teaching me to see life from His perspective rather than my own.

Looking back, I can now see that He never turned His face away from me. He was patiently drawing my eyes back to Him.

I’ve often heard people describe the feeling of déjà vu in different ways. For me, however, it has become something deeply spiritual. It is God gently reminding me that He has been here before—that He was present in that season, He is present in this one, and He will remain present in every season to come.

And that’s why I don’t dismiss those moments anymore. They call me to pause, remember, and give thanks. They remind me that God is the one constant in my life—the same yesterday, today, and forever. What once felt like confusion has, with time, become a testimony of His unwavering faithfulness.

I’m sharing this reflection again today because someone else may need the same reminder I needed three years ago: keep your eyes fixed on God. His perspective is always greater than our circumstances, and His faithfulness never fails.

It’s so simple to thank God and look at our circumstances from His perspective, when times are good and it’s smooth sailing all around. Even so, many of us still struggle to acknowledge God when the going is good. During difficult and trying times, is there a good time to start seeing and understanding our […]

Wk31-23: God’s perspective

Prayer 🙏

Heavenly Father,

You are all-powerful, all-knowing, and ever-present. We praise and honour You for who You are—our constant, unchanging God, whose mercies are new every morning and whose faithfulness never fails.

Thank You, Father. Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Holy Spirit.

Forgive us for our ignorance and forgetfulness. Forgive us for the times we have taken our eyes off You and looked elsewhere for answers. Forgive those who have wronged us, and grant us hearts that are kind, humble, and true, so that we too may extend Your forgiveness, grace, and love to others, especially those who have hurt us.

Fill us with the courage and wisdom of Your Holy Spirit. Lead us to live lives that reflect Christ, and give us boldness to share Your love and the Good News of Jesus Christ with those around us, especially those who have not yet come to know Him.

May everything we do bring glory and honour to Your holy name.

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray.

Amen.

To God be the glory always 🙏
